On Thursday October 22 2020, Royal Enfield made an announcement to launch it’s newest motorcycle ‘Meteor 350’ after several delays which will be replacing it’s Thunderbird lineup.
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 will be first motorcycle from the automaker to have new J-platform and is expected to have completely new air-cooled, motor injected UCE 350 CC engine discarding the one used by current Thunderbird & Thunderbird-X 350 and expected to be paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The new engine is expected to have the SOHC (single overhead cam) instead of the previous push-rod actuated valves which would make it smoother compared to the UCE 350 CC engines of the Bullet 350 and Classic 350.
As per the reports, Meteor 350 will be available in three variants as Fireball, Stellar and Supernova and expected to be sold between 1.7 to 1.9 lakhs ex-showroom.
